January Goals
One of the many authors I know, used to post his monthly goals on Facebook each month. He did it for accountability, but also so he could see the progress he made.
I’ve thought about that a lot over the years. He doesn’t post his goals anymore, but I know he still sets monthly goals.
Because of my struggle with chronic migraines, I’m always afraid to set goals or make plans. Because when my head hurts, I simply can’t meet them. And that’s depressing.
However, God reminded me that He doesn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control (2 Timothy 1:7). So, I’m going to do it.
This year, I’m going to post my monthly goals, and whether or not I’ve met them.
January Goals
1.) Write 20 Devotions
I love writing devotionals. Writing is hard when my head hurts, but I’m really hoping to get back into writing devotions. I’m hoping if I can make a good start in January, I’ll be able to start sharing them online again in February.
2.) Catch Up on Emails
This might not sound like a big deal, but it is.
I normally try to end the year with inbox zero, but with the severity of my migraines, I didn’t even try last month. Which means I have a ton emails I need to respond to or process.
Also, I got an email last week that said Gmail is no longer offering pop mail to import emails from other accounts, so I’ll need to figure out the best way to process emails going forward.
3.) Read 3 Nonfiction Books
I’m working on an idea for a new book. But before I start writing, I really need to do a ton of research. Thus, my goal is to read at least three nonfiction books each month.
