There are hundreds if not thousands of amazing Christian resources available today.
If you walk into a Christian bookstore, you’ll find shelves of books dedicated to prayer or studying the Old Testament. What I wanted to put together on this page is a list of resources that focus on the gospel.
Whether you are looking for a book to read, a study to do with a new believer or some discussion cards to keep on your coffee table, I’ve listed some of my favorite gospel resources below.

A Gospel Primer for Christians by Milton Vincent
Christians need to rehearse the gospel after conversion, and this book will help you do that. In this little primer, you will find short passages of biblical truth to help you savor the glories of God’s love and experience the life-transforming power of the gospel in all areas of life. Use this book to preach the gospel to yourself daily and be amazed at the difference it can make in your life.
The Cross Centered Life by CJ Mahaney
Remember Jesus Christ? Although it seems almost too obvious, the center of our faith is surprisingly easy to forget. Dynamic pastor C.J. Mahaney shows how to overcome our tendency to move on from the gospel of grace. Finding joy in the gospel — whose promises allow us to escape condemnation whenever it attacks — helps us avoid the prevalent trap of legalism. With practical suggestions, Mahaney demonstrates the difference between knowing the gospel… and making it the main thing in daily decisions and daily living.
Above All by J.D. Greear
Jesus promised to build his church. He said that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. The church is not going away.
Along with this promise, Jesus gave clear instructions for how the church would prevail. He promised to build it on the rock of the gospel.
The most pressing need for Christianity today is not a new strategy. It is not an updated message. It is a return to keeping the gospel above all.
Gospel Fluency by Jeff Vanderstelt
Even if they want to, many Christians find it hard to talk to others about Jesus. Is it possible this difficulty is because we’re trying to speak a language we haven’t actually spent time practicing?
To become fluent in a new language, you must immerse yourself in it until you actually start to think about life through it. Becoming fluent in the gospel happens the same way―after believing it, we have to intentionally rehearse it (to ourselves and to others) and immerse ourselves in its truths. Only then will we start to see how everything in our lives, from the mundane to the magnificent, is transformed by the hope of the gospel.
