Author Update & March Goals
February started off with a visit to my neurologist. My migraines had been getting worse again steadily for months. My neurologist changed some of my medication and ordered two separate procedures.
February 17th, I had my 10th blood patch. It had been almost a year since my last one.
February 19th, I had an occipital nerve block.
We spent almost a week holed up in a hotel in Dallas so we could get those two procedures done. But it was definitely worth it. Despite ending the month with a head cold, my daily pain level has dropped from a 7 to a 2-4 on the pain scale.
Praise God!
It kind of felt like my entire month was wrapped up in migraines, and I didn’t really get anything done.
February Goal Update
Goal: Complete 4 Seminary Class Lessons
Nope.
Not a single one.
Because of all my medical stuff, I’ve barely had a moment to myself to do any studying. I’m hoping to pick back up in March
Goal: Complete Candidly Christian’s March Posts
I goofed.
We publish a new post every Monday on Candidly Christian, but I didn’t realize there were five Monday’s in March. I have the four posts I planned for scheduled. But I still need to work up the final post.
Goal: Read 4 Chapters in Nonfiction Books
Again, I did not meet this goal. I didn’t do any nonfiction reading this month.
Goals for March
I’m calling this Mulligan March. I shifted my February goals forward, so these are pretty much the same. We’ll see how it goes.
1.) Complete 4 Seminary Class Lessons
I signed up for an online seminary class in January. My goal is to complete at least one lesson a week.
2.) Complete Candidly Christian Posts for April
This is one of the behind the scenes tasks I do every month. I’ll need to do keyword research, formatting, graphics, etc. for the Candidly Christian blog posts that will be published in April (plus the one March post I’m missing).
3.) Read 4 Chapters from Nonfiction Books
I’d like to read one chapter of a non-fiction book each week.
4.) Finish Holy Week Devotional
Last Easter, I wrote a short devotional series for the week before Easter. I’d like to put some finishing touches on it and release it this year. I was hoping to finish it in February, but I didn’t. So, March it is.
March Prayer Requests
If you would like to pray for me this month, here are a few things you can pray for:
- Continued pain relief from migraines.
- Mental clarity when I sit down to write.
- For God to guide me and help me make the best use of my time.
