Hey, so I’m Heather and I’m super glad you found my author website.
3 Things You Need To Know About Me
I look forward to getting to know you. I encourage you to comment on posts so I know you’re here and I can connect with you, too. However, I wanted to share a few things about myself I think it’s important for you to know before we get started.
1.) I Love Jesus
First and foremost, I love Jesus.
My life has been full of ups and downs. I’ve been through some really tough stuff… sexual abuse, divorce, cancer, and so much more… But my love for Jesus (and His love for me) is the one thing that remains unchanging through it all.
My writing is an overflow of that love because I want to share what He has done for my soul (Ps 66:16).
2.) I Am An Introvert
The next thing I need you to know is that I am an introvert. While I am crazy peppy and super social online, if we ever meet face-to-face I will seem like a very different person.
It’s not you, it’s me.
I lack people skills.
New people and large crowds stress me out.
I have social anxiety to the point I don’t go shopping during the month of December. Like, it’s a thing. I just need you to know that upfront.
3.) I’m Not Perfect
Last, but not least, I am a sinner saved by grace. I am nowhere near perfect, and I don’t pretend to be. If you are looking for a Christian woman who has it all together, you have come to the wrong place.
I’m not here to tell you how to get it right, I’m just going to tell you how I messed it all up and point you to Jesus. Because when it’s all said and done, it’s not about us anyway, it’s about Him. And He is so. Much. Better.

A Few More Things
Beyond those three things, I am married to the most amazing man I know. We have four uniquely wonderful teenagers and three kooky cats.
One of our cats is my baby.

My husband rescued her from a puddle during a thunderstorm when she was just a couple weeks old and she’s been my little sweetheart ever since (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise).
Her name is Puddles. She follows me everywhere.
But seriously, don’t touch her, she’s vicious.
I am also an internationally best-selling and award-winning author. I have always been captivated by the concept of putting words on paper and I am thrilled to be living my dream. (You can find my books on Amazon using my affiliate link here.)
My Chronic Pain Journey
It was called Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension (SIH).
Also known as a spinal leak / low CSF pressure headache.
But we didn’t know that. All we knew was that my head hurt.
I had a refractory migraine from the summer of 2017 to the summer of 2021.
To put it plainly, that means I had a constant migraine for four years.
Some days it hurt worse than others. But I only had one day out 1,000+ where my head didn’t hurt at all (praise God for that day! It was an answer to prayer).
Thankfully, In May of 2021, I was diagnosed with a CSF leak. That’s basically a fancy way of saying when they did the spinal tap in 2017, it didn’t heal the way it was supposed to. I had been leaking spinal fluid and that was the cause of my migraines.
An easy procedure (a blood patch) stopped my migraine in it’s track.
God is so good!
Gospel Balm
Life is hard. It’s hard for everyone. I know that.
But I also know that God is good.
I couldn’t have made it this far in life without Him.
Jesus is the balm my soul needs, and I hope, through my writing, you will discover that He can be a balm to yours as well.
