A Look Back at 2025

It’s been over 15 years since my first book was published. And over 8 years since my life was upended by chronic migraines.

2025 was dominated by my migraine struggle.

However it was also laced with grace.

At the beginning of the year, I struggled with depression. But somewhere along the way, God’s peace that surpasses understanding seeped into the depths of my heart. I still get frustrated from time to time, but for the most part I’m resting in God’s grace and knowing His will will be done.

Here’s a look back at my 2025.

Scriptures I’ve Clung To

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

While I only published one book in 2025, I have multiple books that are scheduled to come out in 2026. The first is a short devotional series I wrote for Easter, and another is a devotional book for moms. Both need editing, but are 90% finished already. Then I’m also working on an anthology, a few devotionals, and toying with some other ideas.

I have high hopes for the coming year, but know the future is in God’s hands.

Looking Back

Looking back over the year, while I didn’t write as much as I wanted to, God blessed the words I did write. He got them in front of readers whether I wrote them during this year, or years ago. Because His Word is everlasting.

I’ve received countless emails this year from readers who were blessed by something I wrote. So even when I’m not able to do what I want to do, God is using what I’ve already written.
