2024 Year End Review
I hit the ground running at the beginning of 2024. I was writing and sharing devotionals every morning. I published three books in the first three months.
In January, they started me on a new migraine medication that completely kicked my migraines. I was so happy I was dancing in the street. However, the pain relief didn’t last. When my migraines came back, they came back with a vengeance.
I was in pain and my head hurt so bad I couldn’t string words together to do any writing at all. And after feeling so good, it was like a kick in the teeth. My spirits sank and I battled with depression.
I’ve had two blood patches recently, and they want me to start a new medication that might help. But I don’t have a lot of hope.
You Can Find My Migraine Story Here.
It’s easy to get discouraged when I look at all the things I wanted to do this year, but couldn’t. Cancelled speaking engagements. The daily devotions falling away. The books that have sat dormant.
It’s almost ironic that in the beginning of the year I taught a class about the art of finishing, and then I promptly stopped finishing. I would get excited about a book idea or blog post, but I lacked the ability to flesh it out. The words simply wouldn’t come.
2024 wasn’t my year, but by the grace of God, I got through it. Even though I struggled significantly, here are some of the things I did accomplish.
In 2024, I Wrote 15 Blog Posts
- How to Spend Time at the Feet of Jesus
- Wait, Pray, Trust
- Growing with God Through Daily Migraines
- 3 Lessons from the Life of Jonah
- God is Always Good

I Created 3 Scripture Writing Plans
Because I struggled thinking and writing, I decided to commit to posting a Scripture every day. I couldn’t write devotions, but I figured I could still share God’s Word.
It was a step in the right direction for me after months of muddling through the days feeling worthless. It reminded me that even if my head hurt, God could still use me.
I started in September, and mid-way through October, I realized that I could take it even further and started creating 30-Day Scripture Writing Plans. In December, I added graphic packs so others could post the Scriptures on social media as well.

Practicing Gratitude
Pen 30 days of thankfulness in this new journal from the desk of Heather Hart. This Scripture journal includes 30 gratitude Scriptures, each with a place to write out the verse along with a prayer of gratitude and space to list something you’re thankful for.

Christmas in the Word
Grab your Bible and a pen, spend Christmas in the Word with this 30-Day Scripture writing plan and gratitude/prayer journal for the month of December.
